Wall mount versus ceiling mount
In installations where identification is needed it is highly recommended to supplement ceiling mount security cameras with eye level cameras mounted on walls or in doorways. Catch facial details by having cameras at eye level.
The mounts are designed to be placed at eye level, next to e.g. doors or alarm panels. Thus mounted, the camera will look straight into a person’s face, which is ideal anywhere where reliable identification is necessary.
Cameras placed at approx. 1.5m (5’) height offer a good way to capture good face shots, even when the person is wearing a baseball cap or a hood. This is ideal when identification is needed.
Surveillance cameras may be discreet and sometimes also covert. Facial details are crucial for identifying indiduals. The identification may be made by either a guard or an automated face recognition system.
Most of the mounts from Zebra Mount are designed for the pinhole cameras AXIS P1265 and AXIS FA1125. These cameras provide crisp video with 91x45º viewing angle. They have 1080p resolution, very good WDR and they are excellent in low light.
The Modular Cameras from Axis Communications that work with the mounts can be found

The Zebra Mount mounts are 3D-printed in high quality Nylon and can be ordered in many colors. Find details and order using this link: Discreet Mounts for Axis Modular Cameras.

The ZM41, dual mount, can be seen in the lower left corner.
A ZM39, pinhole camera mount, is used in this elevator.
The ZM39 mount together with the AXIS P1265 makes it possible to identify a person, even if the person is wearing a hood.
